The Women of Zion gather on a regular basis for service projects, fellowship and support.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR AND SIGN UP FOR THE 2008 WOF TRIP “INFINITE GRACE” SEPTEMBER 12-13! The WOF trip will be through Fun Time Tours.

The pre-conference titled “I second that emotion,” will be held from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday. It’s a more intense, in-depth time of learning. Join Patsy Clairmont, Anaita Renfroe, and Jan Silvious in a day of laughter therapy and solid biblical teaching on understanding your emotions. The conference begins Friday evening. There are several “packages” to choose from……

# 1 Pre-conference/Conference package,
Package #1 total cost will be $270 per person with four in a room; $280 per person with three in a room; and $290 per person with two in a room. This package includes: pre-conference/conference, transportation, lodging, Friday evening dinner, continental breakfast Saturday, and a box lunch Friday and Saturday. Approximate departure time will be 7:30 AM Friday, September 12. Return time Saturday will be immediately following the end of the conference on Saturday. There will be no stops on the return trip Saturday evening. A non-refundable deposit of $120.00 is due March 1. The balance is due June 30.

# 2 Shopping/Conference package
Package #2 total cost will be $200 per person with four in a room; $210 per person with three in a room; and $220 per person with two in a room. This package includes: conference, transportation, lodging, and a continental breakfast Saturday morning. Friday evening dinner is “on your own.” No box lunches are included with this package. Approximate departure time on Friday will be 9:30 AM. Return time Saturday will be immediately following the end of the conference on Saturday. There will be no stops on the return trip Saturday evening. A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 is due March 1. The balance is due June 30.

# 3 Saturday Conference only package
Package # 3 total cost is $125 per person. This package includes transportation and the conference on Saturday only. Approximate departure time is 6:30 AM Saturday. Return time Saturday will be immediately following the end of the conference on Saturday. There will be no stops on the return trip Saturday evening. A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 is due March 1 with the balance due June 30.

WOMEN OF ZION

All events, projects and activities are open to any women in the congregation and their friends. Notice of these activities can be found in the bulletins and newsletters.

Concluding three years’ effort by WOZ in renovating the church kitchen, this year has seen the installation of the range hood/ventilation system. The final improvement we are working towards is replacing the ceiling tiles and ceiling lights. This will be funded by proceeds from soup sales, apple dumpling sales, Second Sunday Soup and Sandwich, and donations to "ZELC Women".

Our women have been reaching out to the community with the making of Prayer Bears for children in Lancaster General Hospital ER, Prayer Shawls, chemo hats, baby and adult comforters and, with the help of many in the congregation, Community Meals for Hempfield and Lancaster.
Homemade cookies and other treats donated by church members were packed and sent to three members in the military.

In addition, many of the women attend the monthly Lunch Bunch, Book Club, and annual Women of Faith.
