Zion Youth Ministry (ZYM) is dedicated to helping young people become life long followers of Jesus Christ. This is done primarily through relational ministry. Instead of the youth meeting and being talked to, the group meets together & shares their day to day experiences and from that they look at where God is present in their lives. As the group gathers together they learn to care for, pray for and serve their peers both within ZYM and without.
In addition to coming together twice a month for youth nights, the group also regularly participates in Sunday Worship as ushers, greeters and AV techs. Each month a fellowship activity occurs such as going to a hockey game, playing laser tag or heading out on a bike ride. Service also plays into the ministry of ZYM with the group participating in opportunities such as Operation Christmas Child, the Souper Bowl & Habitat for Humanity.
“ALIVE ALIVE” MIDDLE SCHOOL EVENT SEPTEMBER 19 – 21
“Alive Alive” is an annual middle school event for grades 6 - 8, held at Camp Nawakwa near Gettysburg, PA. This year's retreat is Friday, September 19 - Sunday, September 21. This gathering draws over 300 participants and includes fun, fellowship, the opportunity to meet and make new friends and to learn a little something about yourself and your faith. Throw in a dance, campfire, and some really cool music and worship at Upper Temple and you’ve got one jammin’ event that you won’t want to miss!
This year’s theme, Transformed, will help us to lead lives focused on Christ and not focused on the world. Cost for the event is just $70 for Zion students - $95 for non-Zion students. This gets you the program for the weekend, lodging, and 4 meals and 2 snacks. Event T-shirts may be purchased for an additional $12.
Registration forms are available on the ZYM bulletin board. Forms must be returned to the office by August 3rd with a $25 deposit. We will plan to leave for the event Friday evening September 19 between 4 - 6 P.M. and return Sunday afternoon between 2 - 4 P.M.

Bringing all people to Jesus Christ and membership in his family, nurturing them to Christ-like maturity, and equipping them for their ministry in the Church, and their life-mission in the world, all in order to magnify God's name.
