ZION’S BELL TOWER RESTORATION UPDATE

Zion’s bell tower restoration has started.  The brick pointing, roof slate replacement and old church entrance restoration is almost completed.  To date you folks have given $11,921 (25%) toward the projected cost of about $48,000.  The invoice for this project will be due in June. Thank you for your assistance.

You may use the green Bell Tower Fund Donation envelopes in the pew racks, or mark your regular offering envelopes for the Bell Tower Fund when you give.

Zion’s 100th anniversary will occur in 2010 and we want to be as proud of our church property’s appearance as were the charter members in 1910.  The charter members who signed the charter that hangs in our narthex were: Amos Cooper, Henry E. Miller, Henry H. Koser, John L. Greider, Jacob B. Nolt, Frank H. Shenck, Ezra Miller, Jonas L. Minnich, John S. Helman, and Christian B. Bottenberger.

You were sent an introductory letter and two green Bell Tower Restoration envelopes, and more of the green envelopes are in the church pew racks.  You may also use your white envelopes and designate that your offering is for the bell tower restoration.

A reminder: The Bell Tower offerings should be over and above your current offering gifts.  We do not want to reduce our current giving.
